I just have to say that Rory was and is such a staple of Bay Area Comics, it was sad to hear of his passing. Ever since I started collecting comics in 1985, Rory has been a mainstay for me, both at Best of Both Worlds and then with Comic Relief. Thanks for putting together this memorial. I look forward to reading it.

Hi guys. One or two of you may remember me as the founder of Forbidden Planet and Titan Books, years and years ago. Rory was a customer and at least a bit of a friend I hope….difficult to be close to someone 6000 miles away in the years before email! He was a lovely guy…Rory, Bill Liebowitz, Phil Seuling, a few others LOVED our world and the people in it. They helped create our wide wacky world (www. !!) of comics and I miss them being around.
I have no Rory memorabilia or trivia to impart other than by saying that we’re on Earth to make as many spider’s web connections with people as we can. These guys did that, and I remain very grateful to have connected with these guys, at least a little bit.
